Dr. Ryan C. Polman, DDS
Dr. Polman grew up locally, graduating from Independence High School as class valedictorian and excelling as a state champion distance runner. He graduated with honors from the University of Kentucky where he competed as a scholarship student-athlete on the Wildcat cross country and track teams while earning his bachelor of science degree in biology. He continued on to earn his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. During his time in Columbus, Dr. Polman was certified as an Invisalign provider and also earned recognition for excellence in prosthodontics with a nomination for the prestigious Carl O. Boucher Award.
During his time in private practice, Dr. Polman has developed a passion for providing comprehensive dental care - he seeks to provide a thorough examination, clear diagnosis, provide treatment recommendations based on patient desires, and serve as the familiar face providing exceptional quality care. In order to meet this goal, countless hours are devoted annually to traveling and studying the most advanced procedures and techniques available to benefit patients. To put this commitment to excellence in perspective, in the past year he accumulated nearly 10x the number of continuing education credits average dentists are required to maintain licensure.
Dr. Polman has completed advanced training to position himself as an expert and leader in Northeast Ohio in comprehensive general, family, and cosmetic dentistry. He stands out from other dentists in the region as an expert comprehensive and cosmetic dentist. In addition to his phenomenal education and years of hands-on experience, he has been instructed by some of the best cosmetic dentists in the world on many subjects including smile design, veneers, and dental ceramics. He uses this training daily to help patients achieve a beautiful and lasting smile. He completed the rigorous curriculum of the world-renowned Pankey Institute - an advanced training program taught by the foremost experts in restorative dentistry within the United States. He has the knowledge and training to recognize and help treat even the most complex dental conditions, including severely worn/broken teeth and joint or muscle pain.
In layman’s terms, Dr. Polman has been trained by the best and he is excited to provide this expert level of dental care to the communities he grew up in and proudly calls home. Outside of the office, you may find him fishing, running, or cheering on the “Tribe” with his soon-to-be wife Jane. He’s a Cleveland guy at heart and enjoys the “greatest metropark system in the country” and spending time on Lake Erie and the water-based activities it allows for.
